Y’all it is crazy to think next week this time, Mia will be in school. I actually think I’m going to lose it next week but here’s hoping I don’t!!!
Yesterday, I went to the school to finish up the last sets of paperwork. I also got to meet Mia’s teacher and get a better idea about what her days will be like.
Mia on the other hand is so ready. The first time we went there to get a tour, Mia was already playing with her classmates. Yesterday, the toddlers were coming to her to say “hi” and giving her toys. It’s crazy to see how these babies just grow right in front of you.
I was crying like a crazy person yesterday because it was like she already forgot me. The teacher was like she is going to be fine and of course I know that but still. My life for the last 16 months literally revolved around her. From the moment I got up to the moment I could clean, eat, drink, or even to use the restroom were all determined by this baby of mine. So to see her not even look back at me for a second was like AHHH…SHE IS LEAVING ME FOREVER (could I BEEE more dramatic…lol).
At the same time, at that very moment, I knew this was the right thing to do. I knew she was ready to be with her peers and explore away. I’m sooo excited to see how next week goes and fingers crossed she won’t be getting sick any time soon!!!
