Mia’s FIRST day at PRESCHOOL!!!

0

If you read last week’s blog post, then, you already know that Mia started preschool yesterday. Before we left the house, hubby took a picture of Mia with her sign. This is going to be a picture that I will definitely treasure for the years to come!!!

Last week when Mia went to the class as I met the teacher, she didn’t even look back at me. Therefore, this time I knew better so as I said bye and was getting ready to leave, she came to me and gave me a hug. O.M.G. Y’all, I started balling!!! The teacher gave me some tissues and I left because I didn’t want Mia to see me cry again. AGAIN, you may wonder, well, before we left the house, we were doing our prayers and of course I couldn’t hold my tears so ya, AGAIN…lol

I stood outside the class and watched her for about two minutes and then, I left. I sat in my car and cried for about a good ten minutes. After that, I got me a venti sized iced caramel latte and went home. Once I got home, I just started crying more because I saw Mia’s play area but there was no Mia…ahhh (cue more tears).

One of my friends texted me saying lets have lunch so we did and it was just nice. I talked about Mia initially and then we just talked about life and it was refreshing. From there, I came home and got ready to go to the gym. Its crazy to think I have not been to the gym in two years but I decided on days when Mia goes to school, I’ll go to the gym. Lets just say day one was a success…yay!!!

After the gym, I met up with one of my friends and from there I went to go pick up Mia. She said, “hi” with a big smile and then, I opened my arms and she came to me. The teacher was like she was such a great kid and didn’t even cry once. It made me feel great and I am honestly so happy for her as she starts this next chapter.

It definitely feels like she was just a baby yesterday but here we are. She’s enjoying herself and gets to be with her peers. I can’t wait to see what all she learns in the next couple of months!!!

For all my mamas who are on the same boat as me, well, don’t hold back the tears!!! Just remember they are happy tears and there is nothing wrong with that!!! Our babies are our everything and when they leave the nest for the first time, the tears are of our love and there is nothing to be ashamed about!!!

One thing I would say is try to keep yourself busy the first day. This way, you are not thinking about your baby being gone all day because I can say it definitely gets better after the first day…hehehe!!! J J J

Mia’s outfit is from JCPenny

Mia’s hair tie is from Kroger

Mia’s chalkboard is from Target

The sign was created by the one and only Melvin Abraham AKA Mia’s Dad…lol (he’s really proud of it so only made sense to give me the credit…hehehe)

How was your “first day” drop off?

-XOXO-
