Being Pregnant Around Covid-19

0

If you know me, you know I’m a planner. As 2020 began, we had our trips planned out because Mia was going to be a BIG sister. I wanted to make sure she felt all the love from the both of us before baby number two blesses us all. Hubby started talking about Covid-19 and said that we should cancel this trip and that trip because he wanted to make sure both Mia and I stay safe.

I believe in January and February, Covid-19 was still not a BIG deal like how it is now. I honestly believe everything changed during March 13-15 weekend. I feel like it was that weekend the media started talking about how serious this was and grocery stores started running out of items. A part of me wished, I stocked up on hand sanitizers and wipes but at this point it is what it is.

It was also that week when hubby told me that we would not be able to travel for Mia’s birthday weekend. I’m not going to lie because I was so sooo bummed. I wanted to make sure her second birthday was epic since her “only child” title was coming to an end. I do want to say no matter how little your problems may be, you have every right to be sad!!! Don’t let anyone tell you that you cannot be sad or bummed because YOU CAN!!!

I’m a small business owner and having events cancelled because their venues don’t have available dates that work for my clients has been tough. I have so many questions about the future and have no idea what the future is looking like.

Both hubby and Mia have been home since March 16, 2020. Mia’s school is closed as of right now until May 4, 2020 and it can be longer and hubby is working from home until further notice. My next event is now only in September 2020. It’s crazy to think how this year has unfolded thus far and nothing I imagined while putting my new years resolutions together for 2020.

Being pregnant, I’m praying all the stress is not affecting my growing baby!!! At this point, I’m just praying we continue to stay healthy and leaving it all to the man above. I must believe in times like this the MAN ABOVE is watching over me and all of you too!!!

Instead of focusing on the things that stress me out, I try to look at the positives, which are…

I’m thankful for…

Hubby being able to work from home and support us

Having the one on one time with Mia as much as I can during this time.

Having clients who I cannot wait to see and continue to plan their BIG day!!!

Having a roof, a bed to sleep on, and not have to worry about our next meal…

But overall, I’m thankful that we and our families and friends are all staying safe during this time!!!

I know this time of uncertainty is super stressful but we have to believe things will only get better!!! Also, if you are pregnant and stressing, start listing out three things you are thankful for each day. I promise this will make you feel better!!! Remember, being stressed out and anxious is NOT going to HELP YOU or THE BABY!!!

We will get through this one-day at a time!!!

-XOXO-
