Going to a Restaurant with a Baby!!!

Hello Lollygaggers!!!

If you watched my stories today on Instagram, you know that my initial post was suppose to be something else. I decided to change my blog post because on Monday I received sooo many messages about going out to eat with a baby. I seriously never thought how many messages I would get in regards to this from my stories.

Honestly, we started going out with baby girl as early as three months! During those times, we usually went out when it was closer to Mia’s nap time. This way, she would sleep while we had our meal. It definitely worked out for us!

After we came back from Italy, Mia really didn’t take any naps during the day. If we were lucky, she would sleep an hour but lets be real, luck is usually not on our side…lol :p Therefore, we usually just go with the flow and hope for the best! At the same time, I do carry puffs with us because she is struggling with the concept of chewing. It seems like all she wants to do is “chug” everything that is in front of her, even the food…lol :p

I’m hoping as she watches us eat, she will slowly but surely understand the concept of chewing. I only bring out the puffs when our food arrives. This way, she understands its meal time.

Okay, here we go, initially, whenever we get to a restaurant for the most part she is looking around and exploring her environment. From there, once she’s comfortable, I’ll take out some of her toys for her to play with. If she does get fussier, one of us will usually hold her. Once our food is on the table, we usually put her back on the highchair and I bring out the puffs for her. This is basically the “system” we follow and has worked for us thus far!!! Here’s to keeping fingers crossed that this “system” will continue to work for us…muwahaha!!!

If you have a tip that works better for you, feel free to share it with us!!!

-XOXO-
