Mother’s Day!!!

0

Hey, hey!!!

Happy Wednesday y’all!!!

Hope you all had an amazing Mother’s Day with your loved ones!!! I know this day may not be the happiest for everyone and my heart goes out to you. If you are someone yearning to be a mother, I have been there!!!

Believe me, four years ago, on that Friday, two days before Mother’s Day was my first doctor’s appointment. Everyone was congratulating me and it was all smiles until the doctor’s smile disappeared. When I saw his face, I knew something was up, he told us to come back in two weeks to see if there was an embryo.

It’s crazy how things can change in a minute, from being super happy, here we are being super sad. Hubby was trying to make me feel better but all I could think about was if I did something wrong. That weekend, I had to suck up my feelings and just smile at every get together. It was also that weekend where some were announcing they were pregnant and I felt robbed. Don’t get me wrong, I was happy for them but I was still sad that it wasn’t me celebrating too…

So to all of you who had miscarriages and still are struggling, remember you are NOT alone. It’s so easy to say but hard to do but you have to believe the MAN above has a greater plan. You will always be in my prayers because those times are hard!!! We will never truly understand why we were chose to go through those painful times. But once again, you are NOT alone!!!

I think because of that miscarriage, it is safe to say for me, the title “mama” is even more special!!! It is one title that I will never ever take for granted!!! I am truly blessed to be Mia’s mother and I thank GOD every day for blessing me with such a title!!!

Our Mother’s Day was celebrated a lot different this year. We cooked and just chilled at home. We did end up going to the park and met up with some friends in the evening for a picnic. We were all keep our distance because you know COVID-19 is still around us. At the same time, it definitely was good for the soul to see some of our friends and just to laugh the evening away.

I do hope during all this uncertainties around us, you were able to enjoy Mother’s Day with your loved ones. 2020 has been one of a kind but don’t let it stop you from making memories with your loved ones!!!

-XOXO-
