Our Traveling Texans Story!!!

0

Six years ago, hubby and I went to our first traveling Texans game. The experience was unbelievable even though we lost. I just had to point that out…lol! After that experience, hubby and I decided that every year we would try to go to an “away” game. So 31 stadiums in 31 years (not counting Houston since that’s our home town)!

It’s crazy to think that tradition may have been broken this year due to the timing but somehow it all worked out! The BEST part though was the fact that the TEXANS won…like WHAT!!! THEY WON WHILE WE WERE THERE TO CHEER THEM ON…LIKE YESSS!!!

Why am I this excited? Well, before this, every away game we went to the Texans lost. This was our sixth year and they finally WON…lol! So, YES, it definitely is a BIG deal!!!

Some of y’all asked how Mia did and with God’s grace she was amazing!!! The people around us were like I can’t believe she hasn’t cried and I would keep saying something like “hush, there is still another half!” Also, I carried A LOT of snacks for baby girl. This way, any time I felt like she was getting fussy I would bring out a snack.

Because of the space we had in front of our seats, she was free when she wanted to be with a full belly…hehehe!!! Of course, once we got into the car, she passed out like a little angel. She definitely was a trooper that is for sure!!!

I’m sooo happy we started this and we hope to continue this tradition with our baby girl! I can’t believe it was just two years ago, we were cheering on the Texans from Seattle and she was growing in my belly!

Last year, we cheered them on from Boston and she was six months old. I wore her the whole time and she even took her nap at that game. I did give her one feeding at that game since she was only six months. I only started solids the week after we came back. I didn’t want to take any chances while traveling with her.

And then this year, literally after six years of going to an “away” game, we finally saw them WIN it in LA. It was an amazing experience for sure!!!

Honestly, if you are someone who has been thinking about going to an “away” game, I would say, “JUST DO IT!!!” It’s an experience your going to love and treasure forever especially if you are a football fan!!!

Have you been to an “away” game? If so, which one did you go to and how was the experience?

-XOXO-
